Good Luck T!

Even if you’ve only been training with us for a short time, it’s likely that you’ve seen T Dia working with Sterling to get faster and stronger as he continues his professional soccer career.
Although he carries himself with remarkable humility, T has been recognized time and again for his skills, competitive edge and ability to read the game.
T started training with Sterling at the start of his competitive career, playing for Real Colorado. As he continued his development as a standout soccer player, he attended Mountain Vista High School in which he played for several consecutive state championship titles and was awarded Gatorade Player of the Year in 2011.
Following high school, T’s athletic career continued to flourish as he attended Clemson University in pursuit of a degree in sociology. Not only is T Dia an outstanding individual on the field, but he also set himself apart from his peers in the classroom. In addition to playing 4 seasons of Division I soccer, being named Clemson’s Defensive Player of the Year in 2013, and leading his team to an ACC and league championship in 2014, he also managed to graduate in 3 ½ years.
After graduating, T came back to train with Sterling in hopes of playing professionally. His hard work certainly didn’t go unnoticed, as he was drafted to Kansas City as the 20th pick in the first round in the spring of 2015. He played with Kansas City until July of 2016 when he was drafted to Montreal for the fall season.
Upon returning home, T suffered a foot injury in January that he’s worked tirelessly to rehab from with Sterling. We are so proud of his hard work and determination to return to play faster and stronger. Despite a minor setback, it’s evident that this injury isn’t going to hold T back, as he was called up for a tryout with Phoenix Rising FC.
We love seeing Sterling’s Team Speed athletes recognized for their hard work and talent. We will be thinking about you, T, as this exciting opportunity approaches.
